Employee Engagement

Policy & Commitment

The Company is committed to cultivating a highly engaged workforce where every employee feels connected, valued, and motivated to contribute their best work to the Company’s shared mission. Guided by the belief that human capital is at the heart of the Company’s competitive advantage and that strong employee engagement is reflected in work efficiency, performance, and achievements, Banpu provides equal opportunities to all employees, regardless of race, nationality, language, culture, or gender. Banpu also fosters an inclusive culture, psychological safety, and open communication, enabling employees to speak up, innovate, and actively contribute to organizational success.

Management Approach

Under the “One Banpu, One Goal” principle, the Company strengthens employee engagement by developing employees into professionals who share common values, goals, and a strong sense of belonging.

With a commitment to providing equal opportunities to all employees and fostering unity through a diverse and inclusive workplace, the Company embeds corporate culture, “Banpu Heart” across the employee lifecycle, from recruitment and onboarding to development, performance evaluation, and career growth. “Banpu Heart” comprises 3 core values: Passionate, Innovative, and Committed, along with 10 key behaviors that guide employees’ daily actions.

To ensure employee voices are heard, acknowledged, and acted upon by leadership, the Company implements consistent feedback mechanisms, including annual employee engagement and corporate culture surveys conducted by a third-party provider since 2012. The surveys are provided in local languages across all countries where the Company operates to ensure a thorough understanding and genuine feedback. Survey results are reviewed to identify improvement areas, strengthen psychological safety, and support a culture where employees feel confident to speak up, share ideas, and contribute to continuous organizational improvement.

Year in Review

In 2025, Banpu strengthened our organizational culture through activities designed to embed the 10 key behaviors of Banpu Heart and align personal values with business objectives. Implemented through a bottom-up approach, the initiatives encouraged employees to apply shared work values with flexibility, collaboration, and unity across diverse teams.

Culture-building activities were conducted throughout the year in both online and on-site formats, allowing each location to adapt implementation to its local context. The program covered 8 locations: Thailand, Indonesia, China, Australia, Japan, Mongolia, Vietnam, and the U.S. Cross-border engagement included 5 top management workshops, 4 workshops in Indonesia, 6 in China, and 3 in Japan, enabling leaders and employees to exchange feedback, address concerns, and shape targeted improvement plans.

Banpu Culture Leaders (BCLs) continued to play a key role as cultural catalysts across Thailand, Indonesia, China, and Japan. Key initiatives included the Banpu Heart Role Model Project, which received over 70 nominations, Empathic Listening Workshops with 31 participants, and 3 batches of the Global BCL Development Program to enhance facilitation capabilities. Together, these efforts reinforced Banpu Heart and employee engagement, with survey results affirming employee engagement level of 81% and Banpu Heart score of 84%, both surpassed the target of 80%, reflecting the strength and consistency of Banpu’s corporate culture.
