Sustainable Procurement: Upcycling in Action

Banpu advances sustainable procurement by sourcing polo shirts made from recycled plastic bottles. This initiative demonstrates our commitment to reducing plastic waste and supporting a circular economy. Each shirt is produced from 15 post-consumer PET bottles, transforming waste into valuable products while reinforcing our responsible sourcing practices.

Through the purchase of 970 shirts, we have prevented 14,550 plastic bottles from entering the waste stream and avoided 8.3 tonnes of CO₂e emissions. This initiative is part of our continuous efforts to embed ESG considerations into procurement decisions and create a sustainable value chain.
